Bella's Dance Halloween Party

Ms. Margo (Bella's dance teacher) announced last week there would be a little Halloween party at dance class, and that the girls could wear their costumes. Bella decided to wear a sparkly dress-up leotard. She is in the white leotard with the sparkles in the video. Ms. Margo taught them this little routine to 'Thriller' and they performed it for us. She turned the lights off in the studio for effect.

Afterwards they were served cupcakes, juice, mini-oreos, and pretzels with cheese. Did I mention class is from 4:45-5:30pm? They are both still awake.

This is Kenna and her new friend Saige. They are both glad their big sisters take dance together so they can eat cupcakes for dinner.

Two Little Pumpkins

We made a visit to the pumpkin patch this afternoon. Scroll down to see best actress in a supporting role. Except for this first picture, Kenna was not really into being photographed today.

In other news, Bella and I saw Mary Poppins at the Hobby Center yesterday with Aunt Kendra and Linnet. The tickets were Kendra and Jackie's gift to Bella for her birthday. We had a fabulous time and the show was wonderful! There are pictures from the day, but they are stored on 35mm film on a barbie camera. As soon as I can convince the aforementioned actress that Walgreens will not keep her camera, only the film, I will have pictures to post.
This is one that Jamie (our neighbor) took of us before we left the house for the show.

Happy Halloween from Cypress, TX

We have made some really good friends though dance and Little Gym, and Kellie who lives in Cypress had a little pre-Halloween party for a small group of kids. It was so cute, and she is so creative. I still think she rocks for letting 10 kids run around her gorgeous house with cupcakes, juice, and markers.

Kenna is a flower, and Bella says she is a 'flower girl'. This is a costume she created herself. All she really cared about was wearing lipstick.

Icing + juice + trampoline = A happy flower.

Kellie made 'booger sticks' which were pretzels with yogurt, and 'monster toes' which were pigs in a blanket with green food coloring. Told you she was creative.

Kenna liked the 'booger stick'.

Everyone decorated their own pumpkin to bring home. The actual Halloween with trick-or-treating might not seem so great after all this.

Do Not Disturb

As assorted collection of pictures from our weekend.....
The funny thing about this is that Bella does not like to sleep with the light off, but yet she wants to wear this mask to bed. You figure that one out.

Getting ready to leave for school this morning. We were running late mainly because Bella could not decide on what leggings to wear with the dress from Uncle James and Aunt Lisa. There is a trend beginning with Mondays and being fashionably late.

Bella in her "fairy gear" from Aunt Laura.

In case you haven't noticed, Bella got her hair cut short this weekend. We think she could easily pass for a 5 year old.

G. & Pappa's Visit

G. & Pappa came to visit on Sunday with Halloween goodies. It was fun to see them, and everyone had a great time.

Fashionably Late

Due to a certain someone with short curly hair who was up in the night, we all overslept a bit this morning. Kenna and I were up by 7:30, but Miss Bella slept until almost 8:30. Since we leave at 8:45 typically for preschool, she had 15 minutes to eat breakfast and get dressed.
Even though we were still brushing hair at 8:50, I had to snap this picture on the way out the door. In her lovely dress and jewelry from Aunt Laura's trip, what better way to arrive at school than fashionably late? It is important to note the child does not need glasses. These are a fashion statement as well.
We did actually make it, although we were at the end of the car line.

The Social Event of the Season

Today we attended the event we have been waiting for since August when it was announced...Allison's 4th Birthday party at Cypress Academy. She had a Fancy Nancy party and we all had a great time. I was having a hard time adjusting the camera with the lighting in the gym, so I did not get many 'action shots', but I did get a few cute videos.
On the way home, Bella informed me that she would also like to take gymnastics. Kenna chimed in with 'I do too, Ma.'

Happy Birthday Granny!

Happy Birthday to Granny today! We tried to get Kenna holding the picture too, but she did not understand and kept grabbing it and running away. We love you Granny.
