First Day of First Grade

Today was the big day. She looks like a pro, doesn't she? She had a great first day. Kenna and I were so excited to see her same sweet bus driver from last year Mrs. Cathy!!

These are just a few pictures from the girls playing this weekend. Bella is very excited about her 6 year old privledge of getting to paint her own toes, plus anyone elses that will sit still.

6 Year Stats & Some BIG News

Last Wednesday, we went to the doctor for Bella's 6 year checkup. She is in the 30th percentile for weight, and the 8th percentile for height. (it's no wonder she can't reach the soap dispenser at school)

While we were there, Kenna had to have 2 shots. I have known about these shots since March, but have put them off as long as I can. Everyone was traumatized, but it's over.....and she is now the proud owner of the Strawberry Shortcake "Berry Bitty City" which comes with 32 of the smallest pieces you have ever seen. Bella got the password journal as her prize. She did not need any shots, but like I said, there was drama she had to witness.

And now for the BIG news. (No, Kenna was not bitten by an ostrich) Bella and Kenna's Aunt Ali & Uncie Austin are going to have a baby in January!! In 2012, we will have a new baby in our family! We are all very excited. We should find out in a few weeks if it's a boy or a girl, so stay tuned. We went to visit this weekend, and they took us to a drive through wild life ranch. Perfect for a pregnant Aunt and tired mom. We sat in the car and fed the animals.

Opening birthday gifts. We celebrated my July birthday and Bella and Aunt Ali's August birthdays. It was complete with a Hannah Montana ice cream cake. This would be birthday number 4 for Bella if anyone is counting. And believe me, Kenna is keeping track.

Thank you for the birthday money Uncle Charles, Granny & Papa, and Candy! Bella bought her very own digital camera and a dog that barks and walks around....because we don't have enough of those around here.

Before the shopping extravaganza with Grandma and Grandpa. There was also lunch at Red Robin and a trip to the mall for dippin dots.
