Merry Christmas

We recovered for just a few days from our Chrismas fun in Kyle, and on Thursday started another round of Christmas celebrations.

We began with Christmas with Aunt Laura and Aunt Alice in Houston.

In case you wondered, Kenna is a little more than 9 presents tall.

Bella got lots of cute zebra stuff for her room!

We spent Christmas Eve day and evening with Pappa and G., Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. It was a blast!!

Of course, Santa made his round here last night and was very generous. What a wonderful time of year! Merry Christmas!!!

Since Last Thursday.....

So, since last Thursday we have had quite a few important and memorable events happen in our lives.

Starting Thursday morning, Kenna had her first preschool program. The 3 year old class sang The Little Drummer Boy. It was so cute! You can view the performance, by pasting this link into your browser.

Before the program at Kenna's school was even over, Grandma and I rushed to Bella's school for her Christmas party which was beginning just 30 minutes after Kenna's program started. There was gingerbread house decorating, Bingo, picture frame decorating, and a coloring book exchange. I think she has one of the best first grade teachers ever!! We love her school!

Friday we headed to Kyle, Tx for an early Christmas with Aunt Ali and Uncie Austin. Since Aunt Ali is only 6 weeks away from delivering our new baby nephew and cousin, we thought it would be best to bring Christmas to her this year. Bella received some zebra luggage she has been wanting and Justin Bieber endorsed toys. Kenna had a stack of gifts taller than her to open. It was a blast!!

There was even a fire truck tour on Aunt Ali's street that day.

But the biggest Christmas surprise of all was our new family member! My sister had some complications due to high blood pressure, and was induced to deliver 3 pound 14 ounce Asher Raymond Westfall on Sunday. He arrived around 5:30pm. Alicia is doing well, and has already been released from the hospital. Asher is still in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and will be there for at least another couple of weeks. He is expected to do well. They are allowed to visit him every 6 hours, and are staying in a hotel by the hospital for now. Please keep them in your prayers!

Happy 4th Birthday Kenna Gracie!

Can anyone believe this kid is 4? She was one high maintenance baby, and she still demands attention 24/7, but she is such a smart, sweet little girl. And she is growing up so fast!

Kenna had her little preschool friends over on Friday for a pre-birthday playdate. They had fun eating cupcakes and playing together.

Bella surprised Kenna with her very own photo album which she made and wrapped herself. All her idea.

Kenna opening a few gifts before the family party on Saturday.

We are so glad Aunt Laura and Aunt Alice came to visit.

Thank you Uncle James for the bounce house!!

Laura - the outfit was a hit!

Kenna had a Christmas party at school on Tuesday.

A Very Merry Thanksgiving Baby Shower

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with my Grandma and Papa. Since we are not going back for Christmas, we went ahead and exchanged Christmas gifts also. Santa may have trouble finding a place to put things around here.

Bella and Kenna opening gifts with Uncle Charles

Believe it or not, this turtle lays quarters and sometimes dollars. Kenna checked it about every 10 minutes.

Granny and Bella on the swinging bridge. The park in Kingfisher does lights every year and Granny took us to see them.

Relaxing in the library.

Granny and I took the girls to Toys R Us to let them pick out their Christmas gifts from she and Papa. Bella chose a video camera.

This is what Kenna scored at Toys R Us.

Just before our trip to Oklahoma, Bella and I traveled to Kyle for Aunt Ali's baby shower. We are VERY excited for the arrival of our new family member in January!

Autographs Please!

We practiced the letters in Kenna's name for about a week on her dry erase board, and tonight for the first time, she successfully wrote her entire name. Can you tell how proud she is?

Sometimes I look at this kid, and she looks like a 4 year old to me. Other times, she seems like such a baby. Hard to believe how fast she is growing up. Almost time to do those 4 year pictures Kellie!

This was after they both finished drawing on their dry erase board. Kenna is covered in red crayon, and Bella has black all over her face. Lovely.

Let me just say, she picked this out all on her own. She is very into fairies and flying right now.

If there was some weird attire for an American Fairy Snow Day in Hawaii, this would be it.

From Kenna's field trip last week to the Corn Maze.
