Swimming at G. & Pappa's and Princess Night

I was too busy swimming and napping (thanks G.) to get more than a few pictures from our trip to G. and Pappa's yesterday. This is the one that turned out the best. We had a great time.

The rest of these pictures are from our visit to Chick-Fil-A tonight. Every now and then they have 'Princess Night' where the kids come dressed as their favorite princess. Then a few of the employees dress up as Cinderella/Tinkerbell/Snow White, etc. Bella wore her ballet leotard and announced to me this afternoon that none of her princess dresses were 'appropriate' for Princess Night. Kenna was a fairy and had no choice in the matter. They both had a great time.
"I'm coming after you Sissy."

Excited to see the princesses.

Makeover

I just had to post this picture I took of Bella and Kenna playing makeover. Bella loves to have me give her a pretend makeover, and this time she decided to try her skills on Kenna. Notice the tights, ballet shoes, and leopard skirt Kenna is wearing. Bella helped her put all that on.
(By the way, Winnie is not rabid. I just happend to catch her when she was yawning.)

Last Weekend Pictures & The Pool

This is a whole collection of pictures from last weekend, and our fun today at the pool. I got Kenna a small pair of Dora floaties, and she loved them! She 'swam' like the big kids and enjoyed not being held on to. I didn't think she would like anything on her arms, but when it was time to take them off she wanted to put them back on and wear them home. You just never know about her. The hardest thing about taking her to the pool now is the fact that she wants to go up the diving board and slide. Every now and then she will climb out of the pool and go straight for them. She has no fear.

Grandpa lets Kenna drive like Bella used to.

That ice cream was so good she was not letting any go to waste.

A little long, but totally worth it.

Our Monkey & Camp Cornerstone

I decided to snap a few pictures of our climbing monkey today. This baby will climb anything, and she has been doing this since she was about 10 or 11 months old. We have a playhouse that she spends several minutes at a time climbing in and out of the windows...nevermind the door. She climbs onto Bella's bed by herself, the couch by going over the armrest, and the bar stools. Tonight we actually saw her hang on the kitchen table with her feet off the ground. I see many gymnastics classes in our future.

She is obsessed with light switches.

This is how I found her after I finished loading the dishwasher. I knew she was too quiet.

On Sunday night (her 19 month mark), we switched her to her big girl bed because...you guessed it...she was trying to climb out. She was never sucessful, but she kept getting her little knees and arms stuck in the rails. We decided it was time and made the switch aganist our will. She has actually done VERY well. She stays in her room and in her bed for the most part. Naps have been no big deal. She just goes to sleep like always. We put pillows on the floor in case she rolls out, but so far she has stayed in the bed. Granted, this is only the 2nd full day in her big girl bed, but so far so good.

And Miss Bella has Camp Cornerstone this week. The theme is 'water', and they are doing all kinds of fun crafts. On Friday they will have an actual splash day and get to play in the sprinklers and have a picnic lunch. Cornerstone United Methodist Church is the church we have been attending and the place Bella will attend preschool in the fall. Camp has been a great way to ease her into preschool. She loves it, especially since Allison and Ava (from ballet) are both in her class. I took her picture this morning before we left. Look closely Granny and see if you recognize the necklace. It is the pearl cross necklace you gave her when she was a baby. She wanted to wear it this morning. If you click on the actual picture, it will blow it up a bit.

See My Pretty New Shoes

What can we say? The girl loves shoes.

Geez Mom, Do you have to take my picture?
The girls in their matching nightgowns.

This is the sign that we made for Bella and Daddy to welcome home G. and Pappa from the airport. It says "Welcome Home G. and Pappa Pugs".

Kenna's 18 Month Pictures

I took Kenna to have her picture taken today while Bella was at camp. They turned out okay. Sorry the second one is crooked. It is a 10X13 and I could not get it straight on the scanner. She had the prettiest little pink bow on her head, but it fades aganist the white backdrop.
