Our Monkey & Camp Cornerstone

I decided to snap a few pictures of our climbing monkey today. This baby will climb anything, and she has been doing this since she was about 10 or 11 months old. We have a playhouse that she spends several minutes at a time climbing in and out of the windows...nevermind the door. She climbs onto Bella's bed by herself, the couch by going over the armrest, and the bar stools. Tonight we actually saw her hang on the kitchen table with her feet off the ground. I see many gymnastics classes in our future.

She is obsessed with light switches.

This is how I found her after I finished loading the dishwasher. I knew she was too quiet.

On Sunday night (her 19 month mark), we switched her to her big girl bed because...you guessed it...she was trying to climb out. She was never sucessful, but she kept getting her little knees and arms stuck in the rails. We decided it was time and made the switch aganist our will. She has actually done VERY well. She stays in her room and in her bed for the most part. Naps have been no big deal. She just goes to sleep like always. We put pillows on the floor in case she rolls out, but so far she has stayed in the bed. Granted, this is only the 2nd full day in her big girl bed, but so far so good.

And Miss Bella has Camp Cornerstone this week. The theme is 'water', and they are doing all kinds of fun crafts. On Friday they will have an actual splash day and get to play in the sprinklers and have a picnic lunch. Cornerstone United Methodist Church is the church we have been attending and the place Bella will attend preschool in the fall. Camp has been a great way to ease her into preschool. She loves it, especially since Allison and Ava (from ballet) are both in her class. I took her picture this morning before we left. Look closely Granny and see if you recognize the necklace. It is the pearl cross necklace you gave her when she was a baby. She wanted to wear it this morning. If you click on the actual picture, it will blow it up a bit.
